Day 95

Today is 95.
Today is Ja'Mario's birthday.
We sang a song to him.
We finished our January Calendar.

Today is Ms. Gordon's last day.
We are going to miss her.
Melanie is sad.
She doesn't want Ms. Gordon to leave.
Ja'Mario had Mrs. Baker in Pre-K.

Mrs. Washington came for reading group.
She gave treats to the friends who did the right thing!

Briana had bubble gum.

There was one basket.

There was more than one ring.
There was more than one piece of gum.
There was more than one piece of candy.

We talked about punctuation again.

Mrs. Washington came for reading group.

We went to lunch.
We had macaroni and cheese or cheeseburgers.
That is cheese on both.

We brought them back to class.

Today was day 91.
We are close to 100.
We went to the calendar.
We added a yellow mitten.
We have 9 more days until 100.
That is a little.
We talked about the date.

We finished out science project.
We shook our pictures to find out which things would fall off.

Then we wrote about what we saw.
It is an observation.

We found out that the white glue was the best.
Then gel glue, then rubber cement, then glue sticks.
Mrs. V. will put our board together.
It will be ready after our home days.

We had reading group.

We made bird feeders for birds.






Mr. Kyle came to put up bird houses for the birds.


We are working to feed birds.
During the winter.
They can't find food.

We started another blog to talk about that.

We went to lunch.
We had pizza and turkey pie.
It was good.

James was a teacher.
He gave some friends lollipops.

We are going to have a party on 100.
We have 90 more days of Kindergarten.
Then we go to first grade.

Mrs. V. did a lot of asking friends questions today.

Some friends made bad choices.
They were wrestling.
Mrs. V. said this is not where John Cena lives.
(He is a wrestler.)

We went to lunch.
We had chicken and spaghetti.
We got to tell them what we wanted.
We earned a sticker for eating fruits and vegetables.

Mrs. F. had to go to another class.
She has been in testing.

We watched a video that Mr. Ray's class made.
It is about Haiti.
Something bad happened there.

First we did our writing test.
We wrote about what we like to do with our friends.
Then Mrs. V. gave us candy.

Then we had reading.
Mrs. Washington came.
She was proud of our behavior.

Then we went to lunch.
We had chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese.
We got to pick our own vegetables.
And fruit. And chocolate pudding.
It was good.

We read Piggie Pie!
We LOVE that book!

Then we worked on our science project.
We made a prediction.
Our hypothesis is that rubber cement will be the best glue.
We voted!

Then we glued out stuff.
We used beads.
Paper and fabric.


Then we let it dry.


Then we worked on math.
We are counting.

We went to art.
We went outside.
It started to rain.

We had a good day!

Day 88

Today was number 88.
Today is Tuesday.
Yesterday was a home day.
Today we learned about the day at the calendar.
We put in a blue mitten.
We added a new sticker.
We added a straw.
We had 18 friends at school today.
Danica doesn't go to our school any more.
Gage doesn't either.
Junior moved to Mexico.
A lot of days ago.

We had visitors.
Big Breana and Jay Jay.

James told us about what he did on his home day.
He went to a march.
Briana told us about a picture she had.
She is a pretty dress.
She is a baby.

We learned new sounds in reading.
We all made good choices.
That made Mrs. V. happy.

Mrs. F. had to go to testing.

Mrs. V. asked us questions.
We told her answers.
She asks us questions to find out what we know.

We worked in centers.

We learned about a science project.
We are going to figure out which glue works the best.
We made a prediction.
A prediction is a guess.
The big word is hypothesis.

Mrs. F. read to us.

Day 87

Today we were so busy, that Mrs. V. and Mrs. F. had to write our blog.

Today our friends worked very hard in school. First thing this morning, they wrote sentences and questions. During group they sang their favorite song four times. They sure do love the calendar polka song. We added a blue mitten to our calendar pattern. Our friends made a prediction about what tomorrow's calendar piece will be. They are guessing snowman.

Then, we all added another shape, straw, tally mark and sticker, and then figured out how many days we had been in school. Today was the eighty-seventh day of school. We have 87 shapes, 87 straws, 87 tally marks, and 87 stickers. Mr. Caterpillar has 87 circles!

After morning group, we read the book Flower Garden one more time. Today we compared the book Flower Garden to the book Bunny Cakes. We said the books both had birthdays and cakes and girls. Then we noticed that both books both have dirt. In Bunny Cakes the dirt is in a cake. In Flower Garden, the dirt is in the window box.

Then we had reading groups. All of our friends made good choices in their groups. That made us proud.

We went to lunch. Today for lunch, our friends had pizza and chicken. They are also trying to eat a vegetable and a fruit every day. If they each eat a vegetable and a fruit for lunch, we get to put a sticker on the chart. We are trying to get a sticker every day for ten weeks!

Our friends learned more about Martin Luther King Jr. today. They made a book about Martin. They listened to a story about his big words and they got to see a video about his speech with his big words. We don't have school Monday, because we are going to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. and all the work he did!

Our friends finished making their number books in Math. Today they did the pages for numbers seventeen, eighteen, nineteen and twenty.

Today we had a fire drill, and we got to go outside for recess. Mrs. White gave our class some really neat stencils for outside.

We all had a really great day! All our friends earned CATS!

Day 86

Today is number 86.
We went to the calendar.
We added a yellow mitten.
We are closer to 100 days of school.
Tomorrow we have school.

We made a number book in math.

We sang our new favorite song.
The Calendar Polka.

All our friends made good choices in media.

We watched a movie about Martin Luther King Jr.

We took books to a box.
The box is going to Africa.
The kids don't have books.
We took some of our books to give to them.


We went outside to the front lawn.

We went to lunch.
We had hot dogs and pizza dippers.
It was good.

We are working to make good choices.

Day 85.

Today is 85.
We went to the calendar.
We put added a red mitten to our pattern.
Tomorrow will be yellow.
It will be a mitten.
Today is Wednesday.

We went to reading.
We made prediction pictures.
Mrs. V. gave us all different pictures.
We guessed what will happen next.
James had a picture of a boy playing a trumpet.
James thought that he would make a band next.
Mrs. V. put some on the board.

We had reading group with Mrs. Washington and Mrs. V.

Then we read our sentences.

Then we went to lunch.
We had spaghetti or chicken sandwiches.
The strawberries were really really cold.
It was good.

Na'Zosheona went to meeting.
They talked a lot.
And got candy.
It was a long talk.
Then we got candy.
She said she didn't talk a lot.
She was being shy.
She is shy when she doesn't know them.
She didn't know those people.
There were lots of kids there.
We have been singing a song all day.

We went to computer.
Ms. Robinson gave us two new computers for our room.
Mrs. V. is going to hook them up today.

Braina got in trouble.

A lot of friends had a hard time making good choices.

This morning it snowed outside.

James came to school to tell us it was snowing.
