Today was 132.
We did morning work.
We unpacked our book bag.
David got a new book bag.

We had morning group.
We did the calendar.
Mr. Caterpillar turned another corner.

We added a red hand.
Tomorrow would be black.
Tomorrow is a home day.
We have six home days.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
That is six.
We are going to have Easter.
We are going to celebrate.
Some with eggs.
James will go to Georgia.
Melanie will celebrate to hide eggs.
First paint then hide.
Randy G. is going to have colored eggs.
The color red, yellow, blue.
Tytiana is going to the park.
She will look for eggs there.
Some friends will go to church.
We did words.
And letters.
Randy G. turned the words.
He was the third.

We read a story about Easter.
We learned about Easter.
We wrote about how celebrate Easter.

We had reading group.

We went to lunch.

We read five books.
They were about Easter.
We wrote which was our favorite.
We had to tell why.
Briana liked the book The Easter Egg because it had beautiful pictures in it.
Brian liked Easter Parade because it was funny.
Iker liked Easter Egg Hunt because Barney was there.

James was the calendar teacher again.
We added a blue hand.
Tomorrow will be a purple hand.
The calendar helpers put the sentences together.
We read them.
We added a tally mark, a circle, a straw and a circle to Mr. Caterpillar.
We took away a link and a sticker.
We found out what day of school it is.
We found out what is left.
Today is March 26, 2010.

We went to the other floor.
We did the letters.
We played our word game.
We made a video.

We watched the Bark George video.
We wrote about our favorite part of the story Bark George.
Melane did second grade writing!
YAY Melanie!!

We had reading group.
Mrs. V.'s group got our books.
We read page 1!

We saw a fire truck out our window.

We could see Daylin's house.
It is the blue house.

We went to lunch.
We had pizza and fish sticks.
It was good.
There was fruit.
We had bread.

We had peach cobbler.

We went outside to look at the clouds.


Sometimes clouds look like things.

Today is one hundred thirty.
That is a one, a three, a zero.
We have 50 more days of kindergarten.
We went to the calendar.
We added a green hand.
James was the teacher.
He did the calendar.
We added a straw, a tally mark, and a shape.
We counted them all.
Then we added Mr. Caterpillar's circle to the wall.
Today it was a white circle.
Tomorrow it will be green.
On 5 or 0 days, he is white.
The other days he is green.

We did letters.
We did our words.
Tyrone held the words.
James stopped the music.
Then started it.

We worked on our name patterns.
It was like R a n d y G. R a n d y G. R a n d y G. R a n d y G. over and over.
We colored it.
We had one color for every letter in our name.
Every one had a different pattern.
We all have different names.

We had Reading group.
In Ms. Washington's group had a new sound.
It was ch.
Mrs. V.'s group we get to start our little books.
Today we had a test.

We went to lunch.
We had macaroni and cheese of fajitas.
It was good.
We had mixed fruit, beans, corn, chocolate milk.

We had bathroom times.

We worked in centers today.
We all made choices.
Some were good.
Some were bad.
Someone colored on the floor.
We worked together to clean it up.
We scrubbed.
We took turns.
Like three at a time.

We used paper towels.
And tissues.
And water.
We didn't all use soap.

That is an ABCDEFGH.
That is the same as our hands.
Mrs. V. put it on the wall.

It made a big pattern.
Mrs. Crews' class put theirs with ours.
It made the pattern long.

We had an ordinal test.
At our tables.
We couldn't use each other for help.
Just our brains.

Today was after two home days.
We got new jobs.

Tyrone and Melanie are the lunch helpers.
David is the door holder.
Shamara is the caboose.
Randy G. is the bathroom monitor.
Briana is the handwashing monitor.
James and Jatameyah are the calendar helpers.
Luis is the weather helper.
Keyli and Randy A. are the messengers.
Jovany and Sara are the material helpers.
Cornella is the greeter.
Mrs. V. forgot to give us new table leaders.
That is ok.
Mr. Caterpillar was 127 today.
We have 53 more days in Kindergarten.

We taught Briana our new game.
We did 10 words in our game.
We read big.

We learned about machines.
Lots of machines.
Washing machines, quilter machines, cars, wheels, pencil sharpener, computers, cameras.
They are machines.
We read the book Machines At Work.
It is about trucks, bulldozers, dump trucks, cement trucks.
You see those machines outside.
The men are working.
They work together.
Like teamwork.
We acted out words.
We had to be quiet.
We had four groups.
Mrs. V. gave us a word.
We acted it out.


We had reading group.
Ms. Washington was not here.
Mr. Brown came.
His name was not Brownie.
It was Brown.
We worked at our tables.
He entertained us.

They had a baby.

It was cloudy.

You have to listen and follow directions.

We went to lunch.
We had taco salad and corn dogs.
It was good.

We learned about an umbrella inventor.
The little girl invented an umbrella that can find puddles.

He taught us about vegetables and medicine.
And fruit.

Always ask your parents.
Cross out things that are bad for you.
Color things that are good for you.
We don't touch medicine.
Always ask to eat food too.
It might be fake.
You don't know.
You might loose a tooth.
And get sick.
If you get medicine when you look for a drink, you should bring it to your mom and say "Is this right?"
If you do it without asking, and it is really medicine, you might get sick and even die.
You might get in trouble too.

We went to reading group.
Mrs. V.'s group did spelling.
Mrs. Washington's group got Leslie.
They are going to read a new book when the panda book is done.

We wrote our sentences.
They say The man said, "I have two big ____."
We all have one.
A sentence.

We went to lunch.
We had chicken nugget rings or bbq.

When a bully comes close to you, you say "No, go away!"
There was a monster in a box.

We had 15 friends at school today.
Five friends aren't here.
No Ja'Mario, Na'Zosheon, Iker, Melanie or Briana.
Brian went home sick.
That makes 14 friends.

The police man come.
Officer Negron.
His name is Albert.
Albert Negron.
Not Fat Albert.
Fat Albert is on T.V..
He gave us a book to color.
He taught us to be safe.
And never touch a gun.
He showed us his belt.
He said if we see an emergency call 9-1-1.
That is three numbers.
He showed us handcuffs.

That is for jail.

Mrs. V. told us if you say mean things you are a bully.
Bullies go to Mr. Jordan.
If we say mean names we go to Mr. Jordan.
If we hurt a friend we go to Mr. Jordan.
We don't get any other chance.
We are going to do better.
Tomorrow we are going to do much better than today.
We are going to do it every day.
Every single day of our lives.
Not just in Kindergarten.
In first and fourth and eleventh and all of them.
In college too.
You have to do the right thing to play football.
Or be a singer.
James wants to play for the Saints.
And the Panthers.
Randy G. has a Spongebob hat.

We had music.
We watched the Black History Program.
Some friends had to be talked to.

Our Playdoh is missing.
Someone took it.
Our carpet is missing too.
It is in the corner.
Both of them.
They needed a rest.

Randy A had taco salad for lunch.
Some friends had cheeseburgers.
It was good.
We learned all our words.
Randy G. learned something new in centers.
Tyrone learned that when we are outside playing with other people, you should get along. If you can't be nice, walk away.

Today was number one hundred seventeen.
Three friends were not here.

That is getting smaller.
Today was Monday.
We added an orange hand to the calendar.

We read the book On the Go.
It is about people.
And how they move.
We talked about how we move.
That is transportation.

We had reading group.
We went to lunch.
We had chicken nuggets.
It was good.
And salisbury steak.
It was good too.

Mrs. V. had to leave.
She went to the doctor.
We worked in Mrs. Crews' room.
Then we went to music.
Mrs. F. helped us write our blog.

Day 116

Today is number 116.
We added a red hand to our calendar.
We have 64 more days of Kindergarten.
Today was the day of a field trip.
One friend couldn't go.
Briana didn't have permission.
Her mommy didn't sign the paper.
She went to her brother's class.
He is in first grade.
We missed her.
We went to the Heritage Theater.
We rode on a bus.
We had two buses.
We had fun.
We learned about children in the past.
We learned how they played.


We learned to spin tops.


We learned about school buildings.
School buildings in the past.


Mrs. F. and Mrs. V. played in a band.
All the teachers were in a band.

They played.
It was fun.
We laughed.

When we got back we ate lunch.
We had sandwiches, apples, juice, milk.
We ate at our tables.
Mrs. F. brought us lunch.
And milk.
It was good.
It was in a bag.

We had a tornado drill today.
We hid like turtles in the hall.

We had to bend our bodies.
And touch our heads.

We had to be quiet.
It was a long time.

We had Guidance.

She brought Mr. Potato Head.

Today is number one hundred fourteen.
We came to school late.
We made a hat.
To celebrate Dr. Seuss.
His birthday was yesterday.
We wore our hats all day.


We went to lunch.
We had pizza and turkey pie.
It was good.

After that, we went to the calendar.
We added a purple hand.
We are making a pattern.
Green hand, blue hand, purple hand.
We don't know what tomorrow will be.
We guess it will be green or brown.

Someone came to teach us to be healthy.

She said we need to eat vegetables.
And cereal.
And fruit.
We need five fruits.
We need one hour for exercise.
We need eight cups of water.
We need to eat low fat foods.
She brought her friend.
His name was Andy.
All of his body came out.
His brian, his heart, her bones, her kidneys.
All of it.

We learned about more.
We learned aobut less.
We learned about the same. That is equal.
That was in math.
We went to math centers.

Ms. McClure came for Guidance.
She taught us to not be mad with your friends.
And don't laugh.
And don't get rid of your family.
And we made a puppet show.
It was a bunny puppet.

We read My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss.
We drew pictures about what color day we were having.

We went to the calendar.

We did out letters.
We got a new friend.
Her name is Tytiana.

We read a book.
We read Honk! Honk! A Story of Migration.
The geese migrate north and south.

We looked at the big map.
We looked for Chile.
It is in the orange.
The ground broke there.
Mrs. V. told us about how the floor breaks.
We are going to bring money for the people in Chile.
We are going to get a bucket for Chile.
For the money.
The ground got mad when the ground bumped it.
It made the ground move.
That made water move.

We went to reading group.
Mrs. V.'s group had a new sound.

We read our sentences.

We went to lunch.
We had bbq chicken or grilled cheese sandwiches.
It was good.

After lunch, it was snowing.
We checked the temperature.
It is 70 inside.
It is 37 outside.
We wrote about the temperature.

We wrote Mrs. Debbie a letter.
We said "Thank you for our quilt. It is so cute."

In Math, we learned how long time is.
A minute long.

We guessed how long a minute is.
Then we sat down.
