Today we went to lunch.
It was good.
We went to the outside.
We played duck duck goose.
Mrs. F taught us how to run a relay race.
We watched tv.
We watched the President of the United States.
His name is Barack Obama.
He is the President.
He makes sure we do good in school.
He makes sure we don't talk back to our teachers.
He said it is our job to do the right thing in school.
It is Mrs. V's birthday.
We made guesses for how old she is.
We guessed 8, 20, 4, 50, 8, 100, 3, 10, 6, 9, 5, and 7.
She told us she is 30.
She is way older than us.
We learned about a new center.
We learned about Write the Room.
We wrote words and numbers with special magic boards.
We read a lot of books today.
Eric Carle wrote them all.
He draws pretty pictures.
We had a good day!
(Our teacher says sorry, she left her camera at home and hasn't taken any pictures of us for a while!)

Dear friends,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a wonderful day. I'm sure you enjoyed the Eric Carle books. He is one of my favorite authors. "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" is my favorite book. I love sticking my fingers through the holes in the book!
I hope that Mrs. V. had a very Happy Birthday! I gave her a birthday hug on Monday.
Love,
Mason
Dear Friends,
ReplyDeleteNow I understand why I missed seeing you in "action". Mrs. V's busy camera must be taking a rest!
How many centers have you in your classroom? It sounds like a lot for all of you to enjoy!
Aren't Eric Carle's books neat? When Mrs. V. was little, she had "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by E. Carle and loved it! She just loves books!
I hope you had fun helping her celebrate her birthday!
Have a good week. Take care of each other!
