Day 34

Today was 34.
Mr. Caterpillar is almost to the corner.
He is going to turn.
We made predictions.
We guessed he will be 40, 37, 55, 51 and 42 when he turns the corner.
We will have to see.

We read a new book.
We read Dinner at the Panda Palace.
The panda looks just like Albert.
We love Albert.
Then we wrote down the characters.
There was a panda
An elephant.
Some pigs.
Some hyenas.
Some peacocks. Four.
Some penguins and three bears,
Monkeys too.
And giraffes.
Two lions and a chicken and her babies.
And a bunch of bears.
And a mouse.
He was last.
And in the pictures, there are alligators or crocodiles, but not in the words.

Then we looked for things that start with T.
We found things in our book.
The Elephant had lots of T things on his table.
We drew pictures of things that start with T.
David drew four things.

A turtle.
A turkey.
A table.
A telephone.

We went to lunch.
We had chicken rings.
We had bbq.
We had milk.
And applesauce.
Mrs. V. loves applesauce.
She told us.

We added a leaf to our calendar.
We are making a pattern.
Accorn, orange leaf, red leaf, yellow leaf.
Today was a yellow leaf.
Mrs. V. had us guess what tomorrow will be.

We read a book called It's Fall.
It was about Fall.
It is fall right now.

We looked at the pumpkin.
We wrote about it.

We did not go outside.
It was raining.
We played inside.

We went to centers.
We worked hard in centers.

We took a good rest.
Gage left during rest.

James killed a bug.
It was gross.

We cleaned out our cubbies.
We took home things from art.

We are taking books to read.
We picked them out.

The clock got stuck.
The time didn't change.

The clock said 12:41 when we wrote our blog.
It isn't 12:41.
It is time to go home.

  1. Ha! My watch was stuck Sunday morning as I drove to church. I wondered why I had so much time to get there! Glad your stuck clock didn't bother your day either.

Your caterpiller is growing each day. Will it grow all year?

Neat that your calendar dates have a pattern. I'd enjoy seeing that everyday. Are these things you see in autumn?

Hope you can go outside on Tuesday. It was rainy here, too!

    Enjoy your week!

  2. Dear friends,

I like hearing about all the books you read. I love reading with my Mommy and Daddy.

I hope your clock is fixed today.

Tell Mrs. V. that I love applesauce too!

    Love,
    Mason

  3. The clock was stuck in my room too! It was still stuck this morning, but now it is fixed. There were a lot of characters in the Panda Palace book. Which one was your favorite?
