Day 161

Today is 161.
We unpacked our book bags.
We did morning work.
We had a hard time in morning work.
Mrs. V. helped all of us.
It was hard.
We went to the calendar.
We added a red umbrella to the calendar.
We added a tally mark.
We added a shape.
A circle today.
We subtracted a sticker.
We added a straw.
We added to Mr. Caterpillar.
We counted.
We have 19 days left in Kindergarten.
We are in the teens.
Big Brianna and Jakeem came.
Today we dressed up like our class mascot.
We dressed like a caterpillar.

Randy G. was the head.
He is the line leader.

We read our book.
We talked about how it was the same or different to the movie.
We wrote about how the mice with the same or different.
Or our favorite part.
Or a connection.

We had reading group.
It was the last reading group.

We went to lunch.
We had grilled cheese or chicken poppers.
They were spicy today.
Randy G. didn't think they were spicy.

We had bathroom time.

Our friends came to our class.
We gave them the banner we made.
They like it.
We showed them our caterpillar.
How we were dressed.

Mrs. V. asked friends the words they know.
Ten more friends got First grade words!

Now we have fifteen friends with first grade words.
Only a few more to go!

We went to art.
Five friends didn't go.
They lost their privilege.
They don't get to go specials any more.
Tomorrow is the last day of specials.
Thirteen friends went to art.
They did the right thing.
Daylin and Luis were the star cats today!

We had a fire drill.
We had to go outside.
We stayed outside when it was done.
We had recess on the patio.

We had a good day!

  1. Clever to dress up like your class mascot!

Way to go, fifteen friends. I'm curious: what are the first grade words?

  2. We like how you're dressed.
    We like your writing.
We don't know if anyone had a birthday during May.
We have 17 days left after today.
We are almost ready for 1st grade.
    Are you?

We really enjoy hearing what you have to say about our days. Please leave us a comment!
